We saved 4 hefty planks from the Coronation Oak and they are being used around the village for benches.
Below is the one at the War Memorial site
Below the last to be installed by an entrance to the Potters Mede Woodland Walk
Below is the one installed to commemorate the Royal Observer Corps on Crowhill,
and below that the one installed at Tollgate Green to replace Frank Bangay's 1980s log bench
This bench has been installed outside Keith Palmer's Office athe crossroads, to commemorate Big Jim Allingham. Jim was one of the last men in Borough Green to break stone by hand in Stangate and Isles Quarries
